2025 King of the Hammers
Well, 2025, your off to a rough start! King of the Hammers didn’t go as planned for us this year as I’m sure it didn’t for a lot of teams, but we came, we saw and brought our team home with goals to get cars back in tip top shape and move on to the next event as well as higher expectations for 2026.

Our team arrived on the lakebed a week prior to race week to complete shock tuning and shake the cars down. It never seems like we have enough days to get ready for this race but somehow the tent always gets put up, Tammy cooks the best meals to survive on all week and we fall into a groove!
Although our race did not go as planned, Wayland, Bailey and Ryan still find the bright side of things. They drove their butts off like always, passed cars and made sure they hit all the VCP’s and RCP’s. The 1st lap was going fast for both, until they both got a flat tire around Remote pit. Bailey also broke a rear axle shaft but the guys at the pit moved quick and got them back on course. Wayland and Bailey were now both set on kill as quite a few cars had passed them. Wayland made up a lot of positions and entered the 2nd lap. With an increased pace, he had caught up to Shannon and diced it out with his old man for about 10-15 miles of rocks. He tried getting around multiple times and even stuck it in his door while racing up Claw Hammer. Wayland made a move and finally got around him at Chocolate Thunder but not a minute later he found himself battling with Jason Scherer all the way back to main pit. Bailey and Ryan were now on Lap 2, making quick work of the rock trails they knew like the back of their hand! About ½ way through they developed a steering leak, and it ended their day. They limped it back to main pit in time to see Wayland pull in and have the crew go over his car, as he had encountered some damage after his battle with Shannon. They topped the car off with some fluids and sent him on his way. About an hour into lap 3, and on the furthest side of the course, Wayland had to call his race due to a mechanical failure.
We come out to Hammers with the highest intentions of winning the damn thing and taking home the scepter but instead, this year were coming home in one peace and back to our families again.
To our Sponsors and Crew that stuck with us for the 2025 season, thank you. You are all the reason we want to continue to push harder and come back even stronger.
