2019 Ridgecrest Ultra4 West Coast Series

Ridgecrest, CA September 13th-14th, 2019 - It was a hot but fun weekend racing the Rampage at Ridgecrest with Ultra4, SNORE and MORE. We started out Friday afternoon with qualifying.. congrats to JP Gomez on laying it down in qualifying with the 114.19, Wayland in third with 116.22 , Shannon in fifth with 117.30 and Bailey in seventh with a 118.12. We started racing Saturday around noon , visibility was terrible and it was hot. Shannon, not even 10 miles in the car overheated and smacked a rock, killed a tire, his impact didn’t work and the jack was broke, fortunately Wayland was changing a belt in the same spot and was able to help him out. But in lap three he lost a fan motor and a steering pump and unfortunately his race was over... but Wayland and Bailey were still in it..Bailey running in the top three all day mixing it up with Paul Horschel and JP Gomez. She finally finished with a solid second place, missing first by only 38 seconds, congrats to JP taking back to back firsts here in Ridgecrest and to Paul for his 3rd place finish as well, Wayland was able to finish 12th.
